Reconstruct Bag no. 7

€297,00

This bag is a one-of-a-kind piece defined by material history and functional clarity. The front panel is made from original German postal sacks dating back to before the fall of the Berlin Wall. The fabric bears visible stamps, markings, and traces of use — authentic signs of its former purpose that make each piece unmistakably unique.

The bag is designed with practicality in mind. A zippered pocket on the front allows quick access to essentials, while an additional zip compartment on the back provides secure storage close to the body. This dual-pocket construction balances accessibility and safety without disrupting the bag’s clean, utilitarian silhouette.

The generously proportioned body offers ample storage while remaining soft and flexible in structure. The bag adapts naturally to its contents, making it suitable for everyday use as well as longer carry. Reclaimed army fabric is used throughout the remaining body and strap, reinforcing the bag’s durable, workwear-inspired character.

Visible stitching, slight irregularities, and material transitions are intentionally preserved, emphasizing craftsmanship and the transformation of historical textiles into a contemporary functional object.

This piece carries time, use, and memory — reassembled into a bag built for the present.
