The Remnant Trousers Collection is a limited series of individually handcrafted unisex trousers made from reclaimed German postal sacks dating from before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Each piece combines historical utility fabrics with contemporary tailoring, transforming forgotten materials into wearable one-of-a-kind garments.
While all ten trousers share the same overall construction, every pair differs through original postal markings, pocket configurations, closures and individual material characteristics. No two pieces are identical, making each garment part of a unique series.
This particular piece features the original untreated postal sack fabric in its natural tone, preserving the authentic texture, color and character of the material. Large original typography remains visible across the front panels, emphasizing the industrial history of the fabric. The front is constructed from reclaimed postal sacks, while the back is made from black cotton fabric, creating a strong contrast between historic utility material and modern tailoring.
The trousers feature a traditional button fly closure and a single large utility pocket positioned on the right leg. The pocket is integrated directly into the silhouette and provides practical storage without disrupting the clean vertical lines of the design. The high-rise waist and tapered leg create a balanced shape that remains comfortable while offering a structured appearance.
The material has been left untreated, allowing the natural variations, markings and signs of age to remain visible. These details are not imperfections but part of the garment's history, ensuring that every pair remains entirely unique.
