The Remnant Trousers Collection is a limited series of individually handcrafted unisex trousers made from reclaimed German postal sacks dating from before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Each piece combines historical utility fabrics with contemporary tailoring, transforming forgotten materials into wearable one-of-a-kind garments.
While all ten trousers share the same overall construction, every pair differs through original postal markings, pocket configurations, closures and individual material characteristics. No two pieces are identical, making each garment a unique interpretation of the collection.
This particular piece features the original untreated postal sack fabric in its natural tone, preserving the authentic texture and character of the historic material. Prominent fragments of the original postal typography remain visible across the front, creating a strong visual connection to the fabric’s former purpose. The front panels are constructed from reclaimed postal sacks, while the back is made from black cotton fabric, creating a clear contrast between raw utility materials and modern tailoring.
The trousers feature a concealed zip fly and a single oversized utility pocket positioned on the right leg. The asymmetrical pocket construction gives the piece a slightly more minimal appearance while maintaining its functional character. The high-rise waist and tapered leg create a balanced silhouette that works equally well as a statement piece or as part of an everyday wardrobe.
The fabric has intentionally been left untreated. Natural irregularities, subtle discolorations and signs of previous use remain visible, ensuring that each garment carries its own unique history.
