The Remnant Trousers Collection is a limited series of individually handcrafted unisex trousers made from reclaimed German postal sacks dating from before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Each piece combines historical utility fabrics with contemporary tailoring, transforming forgotten materials into wearable one-of-a-kind garments.
While all ten trousers share the same overall construction, every pair differs through original postal markings, pocket configurations, closures and individual material characteristics. No two pieces are identical, making each garment a unique interpretation of the collection.
This particular piece features the original untreated postal sack fabric in its natural tone, preserving the authentic texture and character of the historic material. Large fragments of the original postal typography remain visible across the front, creating a strong graphic appearance while maintaining the raw aesthetic of the material. The front panels are constructed from reclaimed postal sacks, while the back is made from black cotton fabric, creating a clear contrast between heritage workwear materials and modern tailoring.
The trousers feature a traditional button fly and two oversized utility pockets positioned on the front of the garment. The symmetrical pocket construction creates a balanced silhouette while offering generous storage space. Combined with the high-rise waist and tapered leg, the design feels both functional and architectural.
The fabric has intentionally been left untreated. Natural irregularities, subtle discolorations and traces of previous use remain visible, ensuring that every piece retains its own history and character.
