The Remnant Trousers Collection is a limited series of individually handcrafted unisex trousers made from reclaimed German postal sacks dating from before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Each piece combines historical utility fabrics with contemporary tailoring, transforming forgotten materials into wearable one-of-a-kind garments.
While all ten trousers share the same overall construction, every pair differs through original postal markings, pocket configurations, closures and individual material characteristics. No two pieces are identical, making each garment a unique interpretation of the collection.
This particular piece features the original untreated postal sack fabric in its natural tone, preserving the authentic texture and appearance of the historic material. Large fragments of the original postal typography remain visible across the front panels, emphasizing the industrial character of the fabric. The front is constructed from reclaimed postal sacks, while the back is made from black cotton fabric, creating a strong visual contrast between heritage materials and modern tailoring.
The trousers feature a concealed zip fly and two large utility pockets positioned on the upper legs. The symmetrical pocket construction gives the garment a more structured and functional appearance while providing additional storage space. The high-rise waist and tapered leg create a balanced silhouette that remains comfortable and versatile.
The material has intentionally been left untreated, allowing the original color variations, markings and natural imperfections of the postal sacks to remain visible. These traces of history make every pair entirely unique.
