The Remnant Trousers Collection is a limited series of individually handcrafted unisex trousers made from reclaimed German postal sacks dating from before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Each piece combines historical utility fabrics with contemporary tailoring, transforming forgotten materials into wearable one-of-a-kind garments.
While all ten trousers share the same overall construction, every pair differs through original postal markings, pocket configurations, closures and individual material characteristics. No two pieces are identical, making each garment a unique expression of the collection.
This particular piece features the original untreated postal sack fabric in its natural color, preserving the authentic texture and appearance of the historic material. Large fragments of the original postal typography remain visible across the front panels, emphasizing the industrial origin of the fabric. The front is constructed from reclaimed postal sacks, while the back is made from black cotton fabric, creating a strong contrast between heritage material and contemporary tailoring.
The trousers feature a traditional button fly closure and a single large utility pocket positioned on the right leg. The pocket is integrated directly into the silhouette and provides practical functionality while maintaining the clean proportions of the design. The high-rise waist and tapered leg create a structured yet comfortable fit suitable for everyday wear.
The material has intentionally been left untreated, allowing the original character, markings and natural variations of the postal sacks to remain visible. These details ensure that every piece remains entirely unique.
