The Remnant Trousers Collection is a limited series of individually handcrafted unisex trousers made from reclaimed German postal sacks dating from before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Each piece combines historical utility fabrics with contemporary tailoring, transforming rare materials into wearable one-of-a-kind garments.
While all ten trousers share the same overall construction, every pair differs through original postal markings, pocket configurations, closures, dye treatments and individual material characteristics. No two pieces are identical, making each garment a unique interpretation of the collection.
This particular piece features original postal sack typography across the front panels and has been individually dyed to achieve a darker, more muted appearance. The treatment softens the contrast of the printed markings while preserving the texture and character of the historic fabric. The front is constructed from reclaimed postal sack material, while the back is made from black cotton fabric, creating a clean transition between utility heritage and contemporary design.
The trousers feature a traditional button fly closure and a single large utility pocket positioned on the right leg. The pocket is integrated directly into the silhouette, adding functionality while maintaining the clean proportions of the garment. The high-rise waist and tapered leg create a structured shape that remains comfortable and easy to wear.
The naturally irregular surface of the reclaimed postal sack fabric remains visible throughout the garment. Together with the faded typography and individual dye treatment, these details ensure that every pair remains completely unique.
