Daylight Dress No. 7 is part of a limited series of individually handcrafted dresses. All ten pieces share a common construction while each garment develops its own character through material contrast, structure and proportion.
This piece is defined by its vertically ribbed upper fabric in a warm, saturated yellow tone. The texture creates a subtle rhythm across the surface, giving the dress both visual depth and a slight elasticity that allows it to adapt naturally to the body.
A strong central design element is the full-length front opening with contrasting white tape and red buttons. This linear detail runs through the entire garment, acting as both functional closure and graphic focal point, dividing the piece into two balanced halves.
The lower section introduces a clear material shift. A soft grey fabric contrasts with the structured upper part, creating a visual break and adding weight to the silhouette. The asymmetrical front opening slightly overlaps into this section, reinforcing the idea of layering and construction.
The neckline is finished with a darker contrasting band, subtly framing the upper area and connecting visually with the button details. Short sleeves follow the same textured fabric as the body, maintaining consistency while keeping the overall appearance light.
