Grainline Vest no. 1 of 10 - Historic Post Vest with Leather Stripe

This one-of-a-kind Grainline Vest No. 1 of 10 is handcrafted from original post sacks produced before the fall of the Berlin Wall. The front panel preserves the raw texture and structured weave of the historic fabric, while the central vertical stripe is constructed from washable leather, creating a clear architectural contrast.

The leather insert runs through the front construction and is accentuated with individually selected buttons, emphasizing the vertical line and reinforcing the vest’s structural character. A concealed zipper closure adds functionality while maintaining a clean silhouette.

The back is cut in a solid tonal fabric and features adjustable ties for a flexible fit. The combination of historic post sack material and leather creates a dialogue between utility, durability and contemporary construction.

Each vest in this 10-piece series is individually assembled in Cologne. Variations in texture, surface and tone are intentionally preserved as part of the material’s history.

Structured straight cut with a defined shoulder line and adjustable back ties for adaptable fit. Designed to be worn layered or on its own.
