This handcrafted unisex cape from Cologne, Germany is part of the Light Capes No. 1–10 series. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind variation, defined through its individual use of fabric, color and construction.

This version is built around a reduced, almost monolithic surface. The fabric appears dense yet soft, creating a calm and continuous visual field that emphasizes form over contrast. The dark tone reinforces this clarity, allowing the silhouette itself to become the central element.

The elongated cut gives the cape a vertical presence, while the asymmetrical front closure introduces a subtle directional movement across the body. This tension between stillness and motion defines the piece — structured, but never rigid.

The hood integrates seamlessly into the overall form, extending the line of the garment without interruption. Sleeves remain understated, supporting the overall composition without drawing attention away from the main silhouette.

Designed to be worn loosely, the cape adapts naturally to different body shapes. The drape remains fluid while maintaining a strong architectural outline, balancing comfort with presence.

The result is a piece that feels quiet, grounded and precise — focusing on proportion, flow and subtle construction rather than visible complexity.

Each cape stands as an individual work while contributing to a shared language — light, open and quietly expressive.

This is part of a 1 of 10 series — each cape is a one-of-a-kind garment.
