The Vessel Bag Collection is a limited series of ten individually handcrafted shoulder bags. All ten pieces share the same construction and overall design language, while each bag differs through its combination of 1970s denim, leather and cotton.
A central design element of the collection is the horizontally banded body. Each bag is assembled from parallel courses of salvaged material that run across the front and continue around the sides, so the seam lines rather than any print carry the pattern. The body widens from a narrow opening towards a broad base, giving the bag its rounded, vessel-like volume.
This particular piece places a wide band of burnt-orange suede between mint-green canvas at the top and deep indigo denim at the base. A blue and white zip runs across the suede, and the flap is topped with a smooth navy leather patch that catches the light against the matte nap around it. The logo is embossed into the suede rather than stitched, so it reads only at close range. The back is charcoal denim, which sends all the colour to the front.
The bag sits flat against the body and can be worn long across the chest or shortened to sit at the hip. The strap adjusts through a metal ring, and the wide base gives the bag its volume without adding bulk.
