The Vesper Collection is a limited series of ten individually handcrafted denim jackets. All ten pieces share the same construction and overall design language, while each jacket differs through its sleeve cloth, button set and embroidery colour.
A central design element of the collection is the contrast sleeve construction. Body and yoke are cut from 1970s denim, while both sleeves are made from a separate archive cloth, so each jacket reads as two materials joined at the shoulder. The padded stand collar is filled, so it holds its shape and stands on its own.
This particular piece sets the grey-cast 1970s denim body against sleeves in a striped cotton that runs through red, blue, green and pink. The stripes are narrow and irregular, so the sleeves carry most of the colour while the denim body stays quiet. Red-pink buttons sit on the front placket, the flap chest pockets and the waistband, and the das W. signature is embroidered on the back hem in yellow. This is the narrowest cut in the collection, with the longest sleeves.
The cut is cropped and boxy, ending at the waist rather than over the hip. Structured shoulders and the standing collar give the jacket its own shape, and the buttoned waistband lets the hem be worn closer or looser. Sleeves are set long with buttoned denim cuffs.
