The Osaka Trousers Collection is a limited series of handcrafted trousers, made in seven fabrics. All pieces share the same construction and overall design language, while each fabric gives the trousers a character of its own.

A central design element of the collection is the fully elasticated construction. A gathered drawstring waistband holds the fabric at the top, elasticated cuffs close it at the ankle, and the volume in between is left wide. The shape follows the logic of the Japanese work trouser, where the cloth is fixed at both ends and allowed to fall freely across the leg.

This particular piece is cut from a pale cream cotton carrying a windowpane check in faded red and blue. The ground is warm and lightly textured, the check fine enough to sit quietly against it. Two buttoned flap pockets with wooden buttons sit at the hip, the embroidered "das W." mark on the left one, and a black drawstring cuts across the light cloth at the waist.

The waist sits high and gathers softly around the body. The elasticated cuffs pull the volume in at the ankle, so the wide leg holds its shape rather than dragging. The trousers are worn on the natural waist and suit a broad range of body types through the elastic.
