The Osaka Trousers Collection is a limited series of handcrafted trousers, made in seven fabrics. All pieces share the same construction and overall design language, while each fabric gives the trousers a character of its own.

A central design element of the collection is the fully elasticated construction. A gathered drawstring waistband holds the fabric at the top, elasticated cuffs close it at the ankle, and the volume in between is left wide. The shape follows the logic of the Japanese work trouser, where the cloth is fixed at both ends and allowed to fall freely across the leg.

This particular piece is cut from a fine cotton glen check in black and white, crossed by a warm orange overcheck. The pattern is small in scale, so the cloth reads as a soft mid-grey from a distance and only resolves into the check up close. Two buttoned flap pockets sit at the hip with the embroidered "das W." mark on the left one, and a black drawstring runs against the pale ground of the fabric.

The waist sits high and gathers softly around the body. The elasticated cuffs pull the volume in at the ankle, so the wide leg holds its shape rather than dragging. The trousers are worn on the natural waist and suit a broad range of body types through the elastic.
