The Halcyon Collection is a limited series of eight individually handcrafted skirts. All eight designs share the same construction and overall design language, while each skirt differs through fabric, colour and button combination.

A central design element of the collection is the full-length front button placket, closed with a row of mismatched buttons drawn from archive stock. The high shaped waistband dips into a V at the centre front, and an inverted pleat gives the A-line body its volume without adding bulk at the waist.

This particular piece is cut from a smooth cotton twill in pale mint. The placket carries the collection's most varied button run — yellow, chartreuse, white and horn set against the soft green ground. Flap pockets sit at both hips, with buttoned side tabs at the waistband in the same mixed set.

The waistband adjusts through buttoned side tabs, opening the fit by roughly nine centimetres. The skirt sits at the natural waist and falls to just below the knee, the pleat opening with movement.
