The Vessel Bag Collection is a limited series of ten individually handcrafted shoulder bags. All ten pieces share the same construction and overall design language, while each bag differs through its combination of 1970s denim, leather and cotton.
A central design element of the collection is the horizontally banded body. Each bag is assembled from parallel courses of salvaged material that run across the front and continue around the sides, so the seam lines rather than any print carry the pattern. The body widens from a narrow opening towards a broad base, giving the bag its rounded, vessel-like volume.
This particular piece is worked in pale vanilla suede across the flap and the front pocket, set against sage-green canvas and framed by tan leather along both sides and the base. The das W. logo is stitched in gold thread, and a row of fine green topstitching runs below the pocket. Two large domed silver buttons on the flap are the strongest hardware in the collection. The back is natural cotton with the same tan leather edging.
The bag sits flat against the body and can be worn long across the chest or shortened to sit at the hip. The strap adjusts through a metal ring, and the wide base gives the bag its volume without adding bulk.
