The Vessel Bag Collection is a limited series of ten individually handcrafted shoulder bags. All ten pieces share the same construction and overall design language, while each bag differs through its combination of 1970s denim, leather and cotton.
A central design element of the collection is the horizontally banded body. Each bag is assembled from parallel courses of salvaged material that run across the front and continue around the sides, so the seam lines rather than any print carry the pattern. The body widens from a narrow opening towards a broad base, giving the bag its rounded, vessel-like volume.
This particular piece is built around a broad panel of moss-green leather carrying the das W. logo in deep blue, framed by dark indigo denim at the sides and a pale chambray flap across the top. A light blue zip cuts through the leather just below the logo. The flap closes onto two mismatched buttons, one white and one ochre, and the strap runs from ochre webbing into a navy leather wrap at the shoulder. The back is worked in a warm tan cotton, so the bag reads green from the front and earth-toned from behind.
The bag sits flat against the body and can be worn long across the chest or shortened to sit at the hip. The strap adjusts through a metal ring, and the wide base gives the bag its volume without adding bulk.
